We are delighted to introduce to you our newest practitioner, Dr Rosamund Yoxall BMBS BSc, a Nutrition and Functional Medicine specialist, who joins the HealthHub team this month.
Initially trained as a doctor, Rozzie has now moved full-time into nutritional and lifestyle health, and will be offering Functional Nutrition clinics to clients on a regular bases. Ideal for anyone interested in maintaining their long-term health, managing their weight for good, supporting chronic disease or minimising stubborn symptoms such as fatigue, stress, general aches and pains or digestive issues, Rozzie also has a special interest in Women’s Health, including fertility and menopause care.
Here, she shares with us 5 key philosophies that guide her practice;
Appointments are designed to ensure that you have plenty of time to tell your health story in an unhurried and relaxed environment. Sometimes, this might be the first chance you’ve had to do so.
I use peer-reviewed, reliable scientific literature and tried-and-tested approaches to guide my advice, not simply anecdote or trends. I also attend a lot of postgraduate continuing education, to make sure I stay up-to-date.
Having trained and worked as a private chef, and as a self-confessed foodie, I love utilising the incredible produce we have available to us here in Devon to promote simple, tasty whole foods as a fundamental principle of good health.
Nobody knows your mind, your lifestyle or your body better than you do. Therefore, we will work collaboratively and iteratively to find a lifestyle plan that is not only enjoyable, but that fits into your life so comfortably that you can continue it for the long term.
Humble & Honest
I am not a guru. There will be times that I do not know all the answers. But I know when to say I don’t know, and then I will try to help you find out.
