Emily Hutchings- BSc Hons, LIC AC

Acupuncturist & Reflexologist

Emily discovered her passion and interest in Chinese Medicine and acupuncture after experiencing the benefits of treatment first hand through her pregnancies and when treating bursitis in her shoulders . She trained in acupuncture and Chinese Medicine for 4 years at the renowned College of Integrated Chinese Medicine where she obtained a BSc Hons degree in Acupuncture and is now part of the BAcC. It was a tough but awe inspiring experience. She practices a combination of Traditional Chinese Medicine and Five Element practice, alongside needling using techniques such as cupping, mocha, tui na and guasha.

“I grew up in Buckinghamshire but spent every holiday whilst growing up in East Portlemouth and have now returned to the South Hams to raise my little family. I first became interested in holistic therapies when I was a teenager suffering from debilitating migraines, I had regular reflexology treatments which helped immensely. I went on to obtain my IEB Diploma in Reflexology 12 years ago in London and have completed various post graduate courses in fertility, maternity and spinal reflexology since then.”

Outside of treating Emily loves music, paddle boarding and walks with family and friends.

This year Emily has further Post Graduate courses in Trigger Point Therapy and Gynaecology.
