Hanna grew up in Devon near Totnes but then moved to London in 1998 to train as a contemporary dancer at London Contemporary Dance School where she gained both a BA and MA in Dance Performance. She went on to performed professionally for 10 years which was her absolute dream, during this time she also training as a Pilates Instructor so she had regular work between the dance contracts. It was while working with a Chiropractor on Harley Street and helping to rehab her private Pilates clients that Hanna really enjoyed teaching others. It allowed Hanna to share her personal love of moving!
Hanna moved to Bristol when pregnant with her first child and it was when he was young that she decided to train in massage to add another skill to her bow, as being a dancer and a mum just didn’t seem that compatible. Hanna also started to run Mum and Baby pilates classes from her home teaching small groups of new mums (with their babies) how to reconnect to their bodies after birth, but also giving them a bit of time to look after themselves in a small safe setting.
The pull of the sea and the countryside finally won and Hanna, her husband and two kids moved back to Devon so that the kids could enjoy the outdoor lifestyle. Hanna is really excited about working at Quay Physio as it brings together her loves of massage, pilates and wellbeing.
Outside of work Hanna loves dancing (obviously!) yoga and hanging out at the beach with her family.
Favourite cake/teatime treat- I love a millionaires shortbread!
