Hannah was born in High Wycombe and grew up in Chalfont St Giles, Buckinghamshire. Growing up, Hannah enjoyed a number of different sporty and creative hobbies including; dance, badminton, piano and singing- achieving an honours certificate in Grade 5 Music Theatre.
At the age of 17, Hannah moved to Kingsbridge and in 2002 studied HND ‘Drama in the Community’ at South Devon College. Starting in the fitness world, Hannah became a receptionist at Quayside Leisure Centre in 2004. Having a passion for performing, dance and music, Hannah was encouraged to become an Exercise to Music Instructor in 2005. This lead onto teaching aerobics classes, (the first class being called ‘Wobbly Bits and the Tone Zone’.
Hannah went onto to train to teach Les Mills Body Balance which incorporates yoga, thai chai and pilates. Continuing to develop her skills in the world of fitness, Hannah trained as a Body Pump instructor in 2008 and a Zumba instructor in 2011.
After having her two children, Hannah suffered with post natal depression and Hannah says exercise helped her to get back on track. This led to Hannah attending a YMCA Anti and Post Natal Level 3 Course at South Devon College in 2017. Following on from the course, Hannah now teaches her Postnatal class for mums and their babies ‘Mumsfit’, here at the HealthHub. The class incorporates zumba, yoga stretch, stability training and relaxation with the babies.
“The next adventure in my career is to become an Aqua Fit and Indoor Cycling Instructor, which I hope to complete later in 2018”.
In her spare time, Hannah enjoys spending time with friends in the Devon sunshine!
