Lauren qualified in 2007 from Bristol UWE and is the newest member of the Physiotherapy team having moved to Devon in April 2016. Following graduating she completed a diploma in Holistic massage in London before starting her first job travelling with Snowsports GB. She spent six months treating the Alpine skiers as they travelled the racing circuit. Lauren then returned to the UK and started as a Junior physiotherapist in Kent and then a senior in West Sussex. During this time she completed her APPI mat work instructors certification and started teaching Pilates and also worked with the local rugby team at training nights and matches.
The call to return North of the border took Lauren back to Edinburgh in 2012 where she continued Pilates and started working in private practice and on various endurance events with Athletes Angels. One of these was The Tour de Force which sees a pack of amateur cyclist tackle the Tour de France route for charity, here she met her now husband and took her to London.
In London Lauren worked as a locum with various NHS trusts before joining the team at the long established Harley Street Physiotherapy. During her time in London she completed further courses in Muscle energy techniques and dry needling.
Following their Wedding Lauren and her husband took 6 months to travel, starting on the West coast of Scotland. On returning they moved to Devon. Lauren joined the team at QuayPhysio in May and is currently completing the Connect Therapy TM series with Dr LJ Lee. Lauren is so excited to join the team as they move to new premises and be part of this exciting venture.
In her spare time she will be found riding, swimming in the sea or walking their wonderful spaniel Ceilidh.
