Confused What Action to Take to Make You Move and Feel Better?

Mar 09, 2022
question mark

When you are sore, in pain, have movement problems, get stiff and achey there is always someone around to tell you how to help yourself or what they did to magically cure the problem.  Sounds familiar?  With the ever expanding reach of “Dr Google” we can self diagnose until we are scared witless and paralysed into taken no action at all to help ourselves. Everyone has an opinion as to why you are sore and what you should do.  So, how on earth do you know who is best to see to help you with your problem?  Is it a GP thing?  A physio thing?  A chiropractor thing?  An osteopath thing?  Perhaps reflexology or acupuncture has been considered too.  AGGGHHHHH!  So with all this confusion what commonly happens is you don’t do anything because who do you trust to help you?  Who will understand what you are talking about? Who can you trust with your precious body?

We have people feeling like this coming to us everyday.  We understand that finding someone who can help you can be a minefield.  There are so many ways at looking at the body and how it works and after all, every single person on this planet is a wonderfully unique individual with their own story as to how they got to where they are now with their body and their movement.  They have their own injury history, medical history, beliefs about their body, social situations etc.  The list is endless as to how everyone is different.  So following recipes in treatment is not a good thing and definitely not one to produce long term answers.

But the one thing everyone does have in common is that they are connected. We are “hard wired for connection” as Brene Brown says.

It is the very essence of how we live, love and move!  We are connected to each other in our friendships, relationships and families.  There needs to be connection between patient and therapist for the best results to occur too.  You need to feel listened to and understood and connected with.  Body and mind are connected and getting even deeper, different regions and systems in your body are connected.  When you think about it, it is quite obvious.  So, surely that is the best way to look at and treat the body to make you move and feel better. This is what we believe and do.

We look at you as a whole person and how different regions and systems in your body influence each other and not just treat the bit that is sore.  The sore bit is commonly the victim of other areas not moving and functioning right.  This is how you get long term results and avoid those flare ups every few months or years.  Hooray!

At the HealthHub we want to know what you think and feel is going on in your body.  We believe these things are key in helping you find long term solutions to aches and pains, stiffness and movement problems you experience.  We know that so many of you who love what we do know this.  So today we are asking for you help in sending this link or email to someone you are connected to so we can help them too.  Thank you for helping us help more of you!
